Mexico offers an incredibly diverse array of natural and cultural wonders, and we’ve collected our thoughts about where you can find some of the best places to take photos in the areas surrounding your resort. Whether you want to stay close to the pool or explore the cities and beaches beyond your immediate area, there will be plenty to do and photograph during your luxury Mexican vacation.
Cenotes are certainly one of the spots we’d suggest capturing
When you visit Cancun and the Riviera Maya, you won’t want to miss a dip in the area’s cenotes. These natural wells can be sheltered in cave-like structures or they bask in the rays of the sun, surrounded by enhancing greenery and rock wall formations.
Cenotes are a very popular photography destination, with brides and grooms, honeymooners and couples. Those who have recently become engaged often visit the cenotes to do dress dunks and take romantic photos. Additionally, families and individuals alike invite along their lifestyle photographer to snap photos of them swimming in the crystal-clear water.
The city of Puerto Vallarta is alive and vibrant with the sounds of music and beauty of mosaics
Discover art made large throughout the streets surrounding your resort. If you go on a walking tour of the city, you will soon see what we mean, as there are highly photogenic murals wherever you go. Best of all, you can take in these wonderful works of art and graffiti, while you’re headed to any of the local favorite tequila bars or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, the area’s stunning church sites.
Beyond the city streets, you will find the traditional aesthetic of beaches, sandy shores and the shimmering sea. One of our visitors’ favorite spots is Banderas Bay, which boasts a beautiful beach all on its own. And, for those who want to explore what is quite literally a “coastal gem”, visit Conchas Chinas where you will find thousands of brightly colored pebbles lining the sea.
Throughout each Mexican city you venture into, you will find breath-taking architecture that demands a photo
Whether you are invested in modern architecture or simply looking to take in the broad range of aesthetic beauty that makes up Mexico’s cities and neighborhoods, you and your camera certainly won’t be disappointed during your visit. Junior and avid photographers alike will find endless photo opportunities either in Mexico’s famous museums, such as Museo de Arte Popular, Palacio de Bellas Artes and Soumaya Museum, or beyond in more casual settings.
Mexico’s combination of Colonial, geometric and classical buildings offer bright colors, unique arches and a wide array of the most photogenic spots in Mexico, so touch base with our Adventure Photos team and find out where we like to visit for our worthiest Instagram snaps.
