Photo sessions are always fun and family photo sessions are even more so! Our onsite photographer Yary, had a great time capturing The Kite’s family vacation at Dreams Dominicus in the Dominican Republic.
The Kite family were there to join in the celebrations of a family wedding and also to celebrate their 10th Anniversary on the same island they were married, but this time with their children!

Do you have a favorite photo from your session? Why is it your favorite?
My favorite is the one on the pier with the kids standing in front of us, and me and my husband behind them. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and it was important to us to get some family photos for the occasion.
Why did you decide to schedule a family photo shoot at your resort, who was the person that wanted it the most?
We decided to do the photos because it was almost exactly ten years since our wedding in the Dominican Republic. We thought it would be very special to have photos for our 10th anniversary on the same island as our wedding pictures, but this time including our children.
What was your experience like working with your Adventure Photos photographer, was the shoot what you expected it to be?
Our photographer Yary was excellent. She helped us pose, was quick in getting the shots, had different locations planned, and best of all, she was great with my kids even when they became grumpy near the end.
What advice would you give to families considering booking a family shoot on vacation?
I would definitely recommend it. The time goes so quickly on special trips like this. None of the photos I took myself showed the beauty of the island the way the professional photos do. I will treasure these photos forever. Also, the shoot was fast and easy, so no need to worry about missing too much beach time!
